This free summer program wouldn’t be possible without the help of its premier sponsor, Principal Foundation, as well as expertise from our Jazz in July Arts Advisor John Krantz.
Patrons are encouraged to bring a blanket and lawn chairs to spread out and enjoy the opening sets outside. Attendees will be able to purchase food as well as beverages provided by the venue on site. Events will go on, rain or shine.
Connie Evingson will be accompanied by Tanner Taylor (piano), Robert Espe (saxophone), Steve Charlson (bass), and Zane Gedler (drums).
Minnesota born-and-raised, Connie Evingson has a catalog of acclaimed albums that run a wide spectrum of genres. From jazz to Broadway standards, to covering Peggy Lee or The Beatles, the Twin Cities-based singer has an adventurous spirit that, like her music, knows no boundaries. Her ten albums released through Minnehaha Music have all charted in the Top 50 in the United States and Canada and can be heard on radio stations around the globe.
The Wayne Page Quintet includes Wayne Page (saxophone), Mike Conrad (piano), Steve Charlson (bass) Chris Strohmaier (trumpet), and Jerome Gillespie II (drums).
