Hoyt Sherman Place Expands Tour Options with Self-Guided Electronic Tour

Hoyt Sherman Place is excited to announce visitors will be able to participate in electronic facility tours of its mansion, art gallery, and museum. This program allows users to explore each room in the venue and the people who were important to Hoyt Sherman Place, including Sherman family members and artists. In each space, the visitor will be able to select paintings, sculptures, furniture, and other objects in the room for additional information in video, audio, or picture form.

The electronic facility tours allow Hoyt Sherman Place to expand the educational value of its current tours. This new and information-packed experience would not have been possible without the $11,000 Community Betterment Grant from Prairie Meadows awarded to the non-profit entity last year.

Self-guided electronic tours will be available Monday-Friday from 9am – 5pm starting Tuesday, October 8. Guests must check out the electronic devices with their ID at the receptionist desk in the mansion.
