Hoyt Sherman Place will now offer Farm to Table dining prepared by The Wallace Centers of Iowa. Chef Katie Porter will tantalize your taste buds with locally sourced delights prior to select performances.
Hoyt Sherman Place is thrilled to partner with The Wallace Centers of Iowa, which enriches communities through sustainable food and civility initiatives with two historic sites in Des Moines and Orient. The Wallace Centers of Iowa provide educational programs and community services, produce sustainably-grown fruits and vegetables, and offers locally-sourced meals.
Current dinner offerings are for Jim Brickman, with a 5:30 PM seating, and BiRDMAN Live featuring Antonio Sanchez, with a 5:00 PM seating. The pre-fixed seasonal menus include a wide variety of delights from herb roasted pork loin with sweet potato gratin and farm vegetables to red wine braised beef short ribs with potato kale cake, just to name a few. Each menu also provides a vegetarian option. Cost ranges from $40-$48/meal.
