Vince Gill« Return to the Event List
Mammoth Live Presents
One of the most popular singers in modern country music, Vince Gill is famous for his top-notch songwriting, world-class guitar playing and warm, soaring tenor, all wrapped up in a quick and easy wit. Gill achieved his big breakthrough with "When I Call Your Name," which won the Country Music Association's Single of the Year award.
A wide-ranging songwriter, his compositions earned him entry into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. The Academy of Country Music has conferred eight awards on Gill, who was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007. He is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Gill has won 18 CMA Awards, including Song of the Year four times, and 20 GRAMMY Awards. He has made guest appearances on over 500 albums from Barbara Streisand, Eric Clapton, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, George Jones and more.
Down to My Last Bad Habit, his 18th studio album, will be available February 12. It is his first solo album as part of a new deal with MCA, the label he joined in 1989. The songs on this new album run the gamut of styles, including the jazzy "One More Mistake I Made," the down-and-dirty Chicago blues of "Make You Feel Real Good," and the blistering "I Can't Do This," which hearkens to the pop power ballads of the '70s.
